Arabic Letter Daad (ض) Handwriting Worksheet

Daad (ض) is the fifteenth letter of the Arabic alphabet. It is pronounced as a heavy, deep “d” unique to Arabic — so distinctive that Arabic is often called “the language of Daad”.

Daad is the looped Saad body with one dot above. This worksheet practises all four positional forms — isolated (ض), initial (ضـ), medial (ـضـ) and final (ـض), with stroke-direction arrows to guide each movement.

You will find Daad at the start of everyday words such as ضفدع (frog) and ضوء (light). Writing tip: Write the loop, tooth and bowl as in Saad, then place the dot above the loop.
