Arabic Letter Saad (ص) Handwriting Worksheet

Saad (ص) is the fourteenth letter of the Arabic alphabet. It is pronounced as a heavy, deep “s” — say “s” with the back of the tongue raised, giving a fuller sound than Seen (س).

Saad is a flat oval loop followed by a small tooth and a bowl, with no dots. This worksheet practises all four positional forms — isolated (ص), initial (صـ), medial (ـصـ) and final (ـص), with stroke-direction arrows to guide each movement.

You will find Saad at the start of everyday words such as صقر (falcon) and صندوق (box). Writing tip: Draw the loop flat and closed before adding the small tooth after it — the tooth is easy to forget.
