Seen (س) is the twelfth letter of the Arabic alphabet. It is pronounced as a clear “s”, like the “s” in “sun”.
Seen is three small upward teeth followed by a wide bowl, with no dots. This worksheet practises all four positional forms — isolated (س), initial (سـ), medial (ـسـ) and final (ـس), with stroke-direction arrows to guide each movement.
You will find Seen at the start of everyday words such as سمكة (fish) and سيارة (car). Writing tip: Keep the three teeth even in height; in the initial and medial forms only the teeth remain, so their rhythm is what makes Seen recognisable.
