Arabic Letter Sheen (ش) Handwriting Worksheet

Sheen (ش) is the thirteenth letter of the Arabic alphabet. It is pronounced as “sh”, like the “sh” in “ship”.

Sheen is the three-toothed Seen body with three dots arranged above it. This worksheet practises all four positional forms — isolated (ش), initial (شـ), medial (ـشـ) and final (ـش), with stroke-direction arrows to guide each movement.

You will find Sheen at the start of everyday words such as شمس (sun) and شجرة (tree). Writing tip: Finish the teeth and bowl first, then add the three dots as a small triangle centred over the teeth.
